Research and Development Cell (R & D) has been established by JGND PSOU which aims to nurture research culture and promote research in newly emerging and challenging areas. The University has appointed Dr. Gurdip Singh Batra, Dean Academic Affairs as incharge of R&D Cell. The faculty has submitted four research proposals under this cell to ATCTE under ATAL FOP Scheme for funding.

The aim of the cell is to assist the students who belong to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Other Backward Communities (OBC), for supporting academic performance and financial benefits from the government. The cell is also focused on monitoring the strict implementation of reservation policy as per UGC guidelines. It creates awareness among the SC & OBC students regarding the various Government and Non-Government scholarship schemes. It disseminates and counsel SC& OBC students of the university to utilize the benefits of the schemes offered by the Government and UGC.

Women Empowerment and Gender Equality are the most important requirements for the upliftment and progress of our nation. In the effort to make university a strong kernel of gender sensitization, the Women Development Cell was constituted which aims to create a gender sensitized community in the society. It has been organizing various academic, technical, cultural and social events for the upliftment of women.

We at JGND PSOU are committed to preventing ragging and strictly enforcing the laws on Anti-Ragging. To that end, an Anti-Ragging Squad and Anti-Ragging Committee have been formed as per UGC Regulations to look into, enquire and punish any incident of ragging in the institution. The National Anti-ragging helpline no. 1800-180-5522 and email id helpline@antiragging.in have been established for lodging complaints in addition. All students and their parents are mandatorily required to submit anti-ragging undertakings in all educational institutions.
