Dr. Amitoj Singh is an Associate Professor in the School of Sciences
and Emerging Technologies at Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State
Open University (JGND PSOU), Patiala. He holds a Ph.D. in
Computer Science from Punjabi University, Patiala (2013), with
specialization in Distributed Agile Development Systems. With over
18 years of academic and research experience, Dr. Singh has
contributed extensively to the fields of Generative Artificial
Intelligence, Machine Learning, Speech and Assistive Technologies,
and Software Engineering. He has successfully led multiple funded
research projects supported by ANRF, ICSSR, SCERT, and IEEE-
SIGHT, focusing on AI-driven agriculture, speech-to-text for
Punjabi, and assistive solutions for visually and hearing-impaired
communities. He is an inventor with multiple granted patents in
areas such as agricultural innovations, braille devices, and
healthcare technologies, and has published over 30 refereed
journal articles, 25+ conference papers, and several books with
leading publishers including Springer, CRC Press, and IGI Global. His
innovations, such as BrilTab (a braille learning tablet) and Paperless
Braille Slate, have won national and international recognition,
including awards from IIT Bombay Eureka, University of
Nottingham China, and UN-SDG Action Campaign at UN HQs New
York.
