In alignment with the transformative vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission, Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University has nominated nine students as NEP SAARTHIs (Student Ambassadors for Academic Reforms in Transforming Higher Education in India). The NEP SAARTHI initiative aims to actively involve students in promoting awareness and participation in the implementation of NEP 2020 across higher educational institutions. These student ambassadors will serve as a bridge between the university administration and the student community, helping to disseminate information about the transformative reforms introduced in higher education. The NEP SAARTHI initiative empowers students to become active participants in shaping the future of higher education. In the context of an open university system, where academic programmes are delivered through a network of Learner Support Centres(LSCs) across the state of Punjab, the role of student ambassadors becomes even more significant.
