University has started a new scheme for the jail inmates named Sikhya Daat to allow them to get themselves educated. Under this scheme the jail inmates have to pay a minimum fee of Rs 500/- only to enroll for any programme. This scheme will open up doors for a better future and will go a long way in restoring their self- esteem and social competence.
