Short Biography
- Dr. Satinder Kaur is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University, Patiala. She holds a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. (Honours) in History, all with first division marks. During her B.A. (Honours), she secured First Position in the University and was awarded College Colour in recognition of her academic excellence. Dr. Kaur specializes in Sikh History and has made significant academic contributions to the field. She has published eight research papers in journals, four research publications in books, and has presented papers at various academic conferences, including the prestigious Punjab History Conference. She has also contributed to a book as a Research Assistant under the guidance of the late eminent historian Dr. Kirpal Singh. In addition to her research work, she possesses valuable academic experience, having worked with the Punjab School Education Board and contributed academic content for diploma programmes at Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University. She has teaching experience in Sikh Studies and has delivered online lectures on "Sikh Religion and Virsa" to international students in the USA. Her academic, research, and teaching engagements reflect her strong commitment to the field of History and Sikh Studies.
