- Dr. Rajinder Pal Singh (Brar), born on 26 November 1963 in Kotkapura (Faridkot). He is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Punjabi at Punjabi University, Patiala with academic qualifications spanning B.Sc. (Medical), M.A. (Punjabi), B.Ed., M.Phil., and Ph.D., he has over 26 years of teaching and 5 years of research experience. Dr. Rajinder Pal Singh has served as Head of the Punjabi Department (2010–2013) and Dean (Additional), College Development Council (2015–2018). He was also a Visiting Fellow at Guru Nanak Dev University in 2013. As a prolific scholar, he has guided 28 M.Phil. and 20 Ph.D. scholars, with several more under his supervision. His academic contributions include 26 books, 73 research papers, 85 review articles, and 83 articles. Dr. Rajinder Pal Singh's areas of specialization include modern Punjabi poetry, literary criticism, culture, folklore, and media studies.
