Dr. Meena Sharma is an academician with over
35 years of teaching, research, and
administrative experience. She is a Professor at
the University Business School and Hony.
Director, Central Placement cell, Panjab
University, Chandigarh. she has held significant
leadership roles, including Dean Students
Welfare (W) and Academic Coordinator of UBS.
Dr. Sharma holds a Ph.D. from Guru
Jambheshwar University of Science and
Technology and has supervised 12 doctoral
theses, with 9 more currently under her
guidance. She has worked on international
Project titled “Connecting Women Social
Entrepreneurs in Australia and India” in
collaboration with Western Sydney University
funded by The Australia India Council (AIC) of
the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
(DFAT), Australia. She has also undertaken a
major research project funded by UGC. She has
also been the member of the working group on
“Promotion of Agri-Business and Food
Processing Industries in Haryana” Haryana
Kisan Ayog, Government of Haryana. She is
independent Director on the board of Public
Ltd company and nominated member in the
selection committees of state University of
Haryana and member of PG and UG Board of
Studies of many Universities. She has been
actively involved in testing and evaluation
assignments of Punjab Public Service
Commission, Haryana Public Service
Commission and Himachal Pradesh Public
Service Commission. She has participated in
more than 75 national/ international
conferences as Chief guest/ Key note speaker/
Session chair or Paper presenter. She has been
instrumental in enhancing the university’s
placement ecosystem, organizing over 70
professional development initiatives and
fostering strong industry-academia
collaborations. A prolific researcher, Dr.
Sharma has published extensively in reputed
national and international journals, focusing on
finance, accounting, management, and
economic development topics. She has also
actively participated in various expert
committees, contributing to policy and
academic development at the state and
national levels. Her dedication to student
welfare, academic excellence, and
administrative efficiency underscores her
distinguished career.
