Short Biography
- Dr. Gurjeet Kaur is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University, Patiala. She has over six years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor and specializes in State Politics, with a particular focus on electoral politics and democratic institutions. Dr. Kaur has published five research papers in reputed journals. She is the author of one book and has contributed two book chapters, with notable work focusing on Haryana’s electoral politics. In addition to her academic publications, she has written analytical articles for newspapers addressing contemporary socio-political issues. She has actively participated in national and international seminars and has been involved in academic training programmes, including orientation programmes related to NEP-2020. Her academic and research contributions reflect her strong engagement with the study of political processes and democratic governance.
