Short Biography
- Deepti Gupta is Professor in the Department of English and Cultural Studies at Panjab University, Chandigarh. She has held several academic leadership positions including Dean, Alumni Relations and Dean, International Students. A Fulbright-Nehru Fellow (2019), she has also been a Senior IELTS Examiner and RELO-Access Trainer. She has over thirty-eight years of teaching and research experience during which she has supervised 35 Ph.D. and 34 M.Phil. scholars, published 6 books and 28 research publications, and participated in 20 national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops. She has delivered keynote and plenary lectures at national and international conferences across Asia, Europe, and North America, and serves as reviewer and editor for several reputed international journals. Her research interests include Applied Linguistics, English Language Teaching, Stylistics, and Communication Studies.
