Short Biography
- Dr. Navleen Multani is an Associate Professor in English and Head, School of Languages. She specializes in theories of resistance and Indian writings. The areas of her interest include literary theory, transcendental writings, science fiction, diasporic writings, postcolonial literature, cultural studies, Indian writings in English, gender studies and environmental literature. Navleen Multani has published several scholarly articles in reputed journals and presented research papers in national and international conferences. She has also penned chapters for books and articles for literary blog. She has contributed to the designing and development of PPR MA English and PhD coursework at Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University Patiala. She has authored and edited Study Learning Material on poetry, drama, academic writing and linguistics. Lessons on the works of eminent literary figures outlined by her are a part of compulsory English subject in undergraduate course at Punjabi University, Patiala and elective English at Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University Patiala. Her video lectures for MA English, BA and Certificate Course in Effective Business and Social Communication are available on university YouTube channel. She has acted as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Swayam Prabha CEC-UGC Legal Methods and Systems. She has organized different inter/national events on interdisciplinary studies for skill enhancement of students and capacity building of faculty. Navleen Multani has also delivered invited talks on language, literature, linguistics and communication skills in seminars, workshops and faculty development programmes.
