Short Biography

  • Dr. Gurdip Singh Batra, CBA, Post-Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Illinois, USA. He is a Visiting Professor at the Graduate School of Business, University of South Pacific Fiji, Kingdom of Tonga and Samoa. He was awarded a Commonwealth-AMDISA Fellowship for doing research on Environmental Management Strategies of Corporate Enterprises in Malaysia, Singapore and India. He has held multiple leadership roles, including Dean of Academic Affairs, Dean Research and Controller of Examination at Punjabi University, Patiala. Dr. Singh has a distinguished academic and administrative career, previously serving as Director of the Centre for E-learning and Teaching Excellence, Director of the Centre for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Head of the School of Management Studies and Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies at Punjabi University, Patiala. With over 40 years of experience in teaching, research, and training, he has contributed extensively to the fields of financial management, accounting, corporate governance, entrepreneurship and strategic management. He has 115 research papers and 43 books published to his credit at the national and international levels. He has also worked on several national and international research projects. His international teaching/research assignments span the University of Illinois and Wilkes University USA, the National University of Singapore, the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and the University of the South Pacific, Fiji. Dr. Singh is recognized for his significant contributions to academic quality assurance and innovative educational practices.
