Dr. Dharminder Singh is an Assistant Professor in Punjabi at the School of Languages, Jagat
Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University, Patiala. He has more than nine years of teaching experience at Punjabi
University TPD Malwa College, Rampura Phul. He earned his BA, MA, and MPhil in Punjabi from Panjab University, Chandigarh,
where he studied the history of Punjabi literature, linguistics, Sufi and Gurmat poetry, modern Punjabi poetry, novel, short
story, drama, culture, folklore, and critical approaches to literature. He completed his PhD in 2016 from Punjabi University, Patiala,
on Marxist Punjabi Criticism: Theory and Practice. His teaching areas include Literary Theory and Indian Poetics, Medieval Punjabi Prose,
Punjabi Criticism, Punjabi Culture, Modern Punjabi Poetry, Punjabi Novel, and Pakistani Punjabi Literature. His research interests focus on literary theory and criticism, with a
particular emphasis on Meta criticism. He has a strong engagement with Punjabi literary traditions, cultural studies, and contemporary theoretical frameworks. Dr. Dharminder Singh has created e-content for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses and has also designed and edited curricula for MA Punjabi programme. He has contributed to the academic community
through research and teaching and presenting papers in national and international seminars and conferences. He has also participated in workshops, faculty development programmes, and other academic events in national and state universities.
