Programme Certificate course in Nanny Care

The objective of the programme is to prepare nannies with skills and occupational competencies necessary in today‟s world. With their practical knowledge and training, they can look after mothers during and post pregnancy and actively monitor a child's physical, emotional, and intellectual development. At the end of the successful completion of the programme, they should be able to work as Professional Nannies in private homes, day care centers, or hospitals. A professional nanny should be able to find work wherever children need looking after by a trained, caring professional worldwide. They can work in clinics, medical, and research centres. A significant number of Indians also intend to work abroad as a caretaker. The mission of the programme is to teach the Learner about care of mother during pregnancy and after pregnancy, child meals and feeding (including bottle-feeding for babies), different stages of child developments including Physical, Emotional and intellectual, health hygienic and food nutrition value, prepare mother and child diet chart.


Passed 10+2 in Non-Medical/Medical/Commerce/Arts or its equivalent examination stream conducted by Board recognized or established by Central/State Government through a legislation.

Continuous Internal Assessment 30%

  • Two assignments will be submitted for a 4-credit course and three assignments will be submitted by the learner for a 6-credit course.
  • Learners will be required to obtain thirty per cent marks as pass percentage in each assignment separately
  • Each assignment will carry 100 marks. In the final result, assignments will carry thirty per cent weightage.

End Semester 70%

  • The learner has to score at least 30% marks in the semester end examinations.

The learner is required to score at least 35% marks in both continuous evaluations (i.e.in assignments) as well as in semester end examinations separately. Besides, at least 40% marks in each course is required in the overall computation.

On successful completion of the six-month Certificate course, the learner will earn 18 credits for the Programme and shall be awarded a certificate in Nanny Care
